Ladies and Gentlemen,
welcome to xdaflameusers.com.
I figure that, if the friendly crew at xda-developers.com wont bother giving us a subforum, then we should just create our own, so, here it is.
As with any forum, please keep in mind that we are all just here to help each other, no need for strong language.
xda-developers.com has long been a great resource for me and I think that the same holds true for everyone who has ever visited and / or perused the site.
That said, I am not interested in stealing users from xda-developers.com, but I see that many XDA Flame owners are longing for a place to discuss their (new) device and to be honest, a simple thread just does not provide the same comfort a whole forum can provide.
So, here it is, your very own place to discuss the hottest Pocket PC that is currently available.

Thanks for the forum. I am not nearly as technical as many of the other Flame users on "the other forum" but any way I can help, I'll be around!
Thanks again.

Thanks for setting this up.
Im a developer by trade, first PDA was a Palm m100, then Viewsonic PPC, then iPaq, XDA II, now Flame.
I love the VGA screen, much easier to read.

Hello guys,
good to see that some users are indeed interest in a XDA Flame forum.
As cwkj said, I think that most of us started out with iPaqs in the Pocket PC area, but eventually, HP slacked off and others created better devices.
Luckily for us, that resulted in, amongst others, the powerful XDA Flame :-)

Just joined. My path Palm II->Cassiopea CE 1.0->XDA II->XDA Atom Exec->XDA Flame.
I have a lot experience with pushing the limits of the devices, esp bluetooth. Latest success (easier than I thought): plug a multicard adapter with more than 2 cards of different types into the flame). It just works out of the box like that. Didn't expect it.
A chinese-brand 2 Gb micro SD is causing me grief right now. Can't write large files to it. (> 3mb) without it locking up the writer process (Resco). Reads fine however. Solution: write large files using the USB connector, then take the card out and slide it in the side for normal reading. I've tried altering the CPU speed settings as I know this can affect timings, but no luck.

Hi all of you !
I think this is the best idea to set up this forum.
It took me a while to go for the flame.
Now I am addicted.

Hi guys! I am from Malaysia and a proud owner of a New O2 XDA Flame. I am glad that there are quite a number of Flame Users after all due to in Malaysia it really a niche market.
The following are my PDAs path..
1) Cassiopea A-11 2MB Windows CE 1.0 (My first PDA.. It had a nice comfortable Keyboard.. )
2) Cassiopea E-125
3) Palm Vx
4) Sony Clie N70
5) Dell Axim X30i
6) Dell Axim X50v
7) Dopod 818pro (Needed a 2in1 package.. phone pda combo)
8) Dopod 900 (Fantastic Phone... really work like a charm... except the RAM is still too little for my usage)
9) O2 XDA FLAME!! ( LOVING IT... IT IS REALLY GOOD... I WILL SAY THE PROs OUTWEIGH THE CONs)
If you see my path, i am really really used to carrying brick (big) PDA hehe.
Guess it really does take a decade for a near perfect PDA.

Hi everyone...
It's really great that finally I have someplace to go as I was with xda-developers.com for many years with my still-alive XDA-II device. Thank you for creating this forum that allows me to get resources, info and helps from other Flame users.
BTW, I'm from Malaysia.

Hello,
I've just bought my Flame about 1 week ago, but I've already have some problems such as the device suddenly power off if I touch the cover of my battery near the power button and the signal reception is very weak compared to my XDA IIs. So I've already sent it to the service centre and they told me it gonna take them about a month....

Hi everybody,
I'm glad to find this place. I'm living in Spain (Europe) where this PDA is not distributed. I bought it from a on-line shop and I'm very happy with it.
My devices:
Casio PV-100 (that wasn't a PDA but a Personal Information Manager).
Acer n-10 + CF bluetooth + CF wifi + Holux GPSlim 236.
O2 XDA Flame!
I'm having problems with a 2Gb micro SD so I joined this forum to get and give help about this at 'Micro SD cards' threat at 'Hardware' category.
Thanks to all!

Hi there
My first PDa o2 xda bought in 2002. I used it for 6 years. It was a head turner at the time the cell phones did not have even colour screens. I bought the flame only 2 weeks ago, only because the xda1 phone signals started going dead all of a sudden, and I had a problem in obtaining a battery as it is not user replaceble.
The flame size is more compact than XDA 1 as that model had a antenna, which made it bulky.
I have lost my USB OTG cable for the flame. appreciate if anyone can tell me of anyplace, where it could be bought either USA SIngapore, UAE, Australia.Pls give email web or phone number.
Thanks
Hiran
