I just ordered the Mugen 3800mAh battery and back cover.
How long do they take to ship and, how long did it take to receive?
I get the feeling my device will be obsolete by the time I get the battery lol

Mine was here in days. Very fast. ![]()

I bought also this battery from etechtronics first. The shipping-time was very-very long (nearly 3 months!!) But then I have problems with it. After loading: If I want to put on my OFF-XDA flame, this does not go. I must always before give start-help with the Cable of charging current. In addition: The cover is very angular and bad formed like a block with unpleasantly edges.
Now I bought and I am completely content also the 3800mAh-mugon-battery (Shipping-time only 2 days!): It's more beautiful cover with beautiful rounded edges and the battery works also, when starting immediately without problems, I mean: Without using my cable of charging. The first battery (from etechtronics) is now only than stand-by battery in my bag.
I cannot recommend this battery, on the other hand the Mugon-battery very much in a better chievement and very nice cover!

That's interesting. As I said, mine was here in days, and I don't have any problem with this battery. Charging works well, i don't have any power-off problem with it. The cover design is a subjective thing, so if you don't like, you don't like. Especially I love it. Retro-design. In my opinion the other cover is bigger and uglier.

@ Tuningszocske
@ Berni
Could you upload some back cover pictures ?
we will able to compare different back covers.
In the fisrt page of this thread, you can compare the original back cover to the Mugen back cover
FYI, you can use the XFU upload tool : your pictures will be automaticly resized !

Here is the photo of the US-Flame-Akku: http://www.etechtronics.com/product.php?productid=26133![]()
The back-cover is very angular and bad formed like a block with unpleasantly edges, indeed, a subjektive thing, but I don't like it - compared with the 3800mAh-mugon-battery, which lies in my hand many more comfortably!
(In the foreground of the picture one sees the normal Cover.)

Yeah, I have the same one which is on the photo. (In the foreground this is not the normal cover, this is the back of the extended battery's cover)

I also bought Tuningszocske's battery. The battery is very good (though they definitely overcharged for shipping) but the design of the back cover is about the ugliest thing I have ever seen! Well, I will get used to it.

Does anybody have an idea or has seen a leather case solution for an extended battery like yours ?

One nice thing about the bigger cover is I can now store my different SIM cards there under cover
Just be carefull removing cover!!

I am really interestet in purchasing the mugen extended battery. Actually I am pretty concerned about the case options.
I have read about the silicon case which can be used.
I would be very happy if someone could write here more about his or her experiences with casing and extended battery.
Right now I am using a leather case but with the extended battery I am scared to damage my device (even with silicon case and screen protector).
Maybe there is somebody could post a picture please ?

we have the same dilema mpayne.... can sumone post a picture please...

You want a picture with the silicon case?
I will do it today, if nobody does it before me.
But in fact, I have not cased my Flame since I had my muggen. The battery already increases the thickness, as the silicon case done it. So both at the same time would be too much.
I only use the silicon case when I am in the car and use the Flame as gps. That way the flame does not move because the silicon case grips on the dashboard.

Thanks thierryb... i havent bought any mugen battery nor silicone case yet. Thats y i need to have a look at it before placing order. As you know, the shipping cost of this mugen batter are expensive to malaysia, especially the borneo region. I can easyly get silicone case here anyway...

i bought the 38000mAh mugen battery from ebay, the battery is GREAT!!!!
it make my flame so much more useable now as the battery time is so much longer...
Offline
@Nite123:
Do you use any special case for protection ?
Offline
I use the extended battery, I have a case for the regular one and no protection for the extended one. But once you are hooked on the large battery it is hard to go back to the regular one! What a great feeling going through the day with a bright screen, processor set at "performance" and no battery worries! Music, WiFi, you name it.

I bought 3150 battery for my xda flame and still wait for it. But now I'll buy another one from mugen because of quality of these products.
Why so? I bought 3500 Chinese battery for my xda 2i and another one 2800 for my friends xda 2i. First one simply doesn't display charge status (100% or 0% - wtf are these Chinese make?!) and second one has bad contact so the device can turn off when pressed near call-off button.
Having such experience I’d recommend buying batteries from mugen without having any problems in the future with design or even power functions.
